Rumour: 'Police-Themed' Battlefield Game in the Works

While EA DICE are expected to be working on Battlefield 5, with an expected release date of late 2015, EA are known to want to annualise the franchise and so that leaves the way open for a spin-off title in the series to launch in 2014.

It was rumoured a couple of months back by Michael Pachter that Visceral Games - the developer of the Dead Space series of games - had been roped in to work on just such a Battlefield spin-off title. Indeed, the company has been gradually hiring developers with first person shooter experience for some time now.

Those rumours have started up again today, with Polygon reporting that Visceral are rumoured to be working on a "police-themed Battlefield title, code-named Havana", and that the game is expected to release later this year.
